ELECTIVES

From Exam Preparation to Japanese Culture: Elective Courses Only Available at Waseda Cultural Center

Elective courses are divided into four categories.

① Japanese Culture
Experiencing Japanese Culture / Traditional Japanese Folktales / Japanese Children’s Songs and School Songs / Japanese Tourist Attractions and History
Students will learn about Japanese culture, its view of nature, and its historical background while actively experiencing it firsthand.
Based on the knowledge and experiences gained, students will compare their own culture with Japanese culture, identify similarities and differences, and present their thoughts
in Japanese.

② Community Engagement
Students will participate in collaborative activities within Taito Ward, such as cleanup efforts and volunteering at welfare facilities.
By engaging with the local community from a different perspective than usual, students will learn through experience what they can contribute as international students and as individuals.

③ Overcoming Weaknesses
— Listening Comprehension Training / Pronunciation Training / Improving Daily Conversation Skills
These are elective courses designed to help students overcome areas they find challenging.

④ Exam Preparation
— How to Write a Research Proposal / Interview Preparation / EJU Listening Practice / JLPT Listening Practice / Current Events
You can select the subjects necessary for your entrance exams.
